Cultural Resources Management

Insignia oversees cultural resources management for all phases of large-scale construction projects, focusing on major projects and infrastructure upgrades for numerous utilities. Insignia’s Cultural Resources team has Register of Professional Archaeologists-certified archaeologists who exceed the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in archaeology and history. Our staff is well-versed in the state and federal processes that protect these resources, and Insignia holds federal permits that allow archaeological work to occur on all federally administered land. Our cultural resources program focuses on completing projects within specific financial and timeline constraints, while maintaining regulatory compliance standards. These efforts are bolstered by our strong relationships with local California tribes, universities, historical societies, and environmental groups. Our cultural resources professionals are further supported by a team of planners, geographic information system staff, and technical editors to ensure proper and timely delivery of technical reports and documentation.
